People seem to be very specific when it comes to the beer they like and enjoy. However, there is going to be one brand of beer seen less at Memorial Day barbecues this year after patriots saw something odd on the bottles – and all it took was a glance at the back to piss them off.
Personally, I’m a Mexican Cerveza kind of guy. Hand me a Corona or Dos Equis, and I’ll be happier than a pig in, well, you know. However, there are people all over the spectrum when it comes to what they enjoy in a good brew – but it doesn’t seem like too many people will be drinking a very specific Dutch beer today.
As it turns out, Heineken isn’t making too many friends on this day of patriotism and remembrance as people noticed what the company decided to write on the backs of their bottles. According to InfoWars, the beer company released a new ad campaign that promotes “a world without borders or barriers.”
Clearly seen on the back of the beverage, their anti-American vitriol reads, “Here’s To An Open World. To a world without borders or barriers. To the belief that there is more that unites us than divides us. To find common ground to raise a bottle with the person next to you. Because a stranger is just a friend that you haven’t had a cold Heineken with yet. Open Your World.”
Yes, you read that right. Written on the back of bottles sent to America are a set of demands telling America to “open our world.” After disrespecting our beliefs that borders are sacred, should be enforced, and worth protecting, it’s safe to say the entitled marketing team over at Heineken isn’t making their company too many friends right now.
For those unaware, the ad campaign is backed up with a commercial in which leftists and conservatives “divided by their beliefs” come together to make peace. Of course, the commercial isn’t all that bad, but the fact that the company wanted to distance half the country with their “world without borders” gimmick is beyond ridiculous.
As Europe is proving, open borders certainly do not benefit civilized society, especially as those from third-world countries flock to the West for benefits. Of course, that’s not even mentioning the terrorists in the Middle East who would love Western nations to open their borders so that they could more effectively carry out their jihad and bring about the worldwide Islamic Caliphate they desire by whatever means necessary.
As Americans honor the soldiers who died in battle while protecting the very freedoms we enjoy today, it’s a slap in the face for Heineken to roll out this ad campaign right now. In fact, several men were killed fighting an ideology that would love to see our destruction and are constantly trying to achieve just that.
It doesn’t take much common sense to see that the rules and laws we have played a strong role in deterring terror attacks all the time. However, Heineken wants to not only spit on the graves of the dead, but they want to make it easier for Muslim extremists to attack the West.
I don’t know about you, but this just about pisses me off, especially considering the time they decided to deploy this campaign. With that being said, I think I’ll be staying away from any Heineken bottle today and any day in the future. Heck, maybe I’ll even grab a Budweiser.
For those unaware, Anheuser-Busch decided to change the name on its cans to “America” to celebrate shared values of “freedom and authenticity.” There’s no better way to honor the brave men and women who lost their lives defending freedom than to crack open a cold one and toast to their names. However, let’s make sure we do so in a way that is dignified in every way – just like they deserve.
