Florida Punks Demand Reparations, Politician Drops 4-Word Bomb That Leaves Them Horrified
A Florida mayoral candidate’s simple response to certain voters’ demands immediately went viral, garnering him quite a bit of unforeseen attention. As it turns out, a group of punks started to demand reparations while listening to him debate– and that’s about the time that he dropped a 4-word bombshell that left them absolutely horrified.
Currently, there are five people running for mayor of St. Petersburg, Florida, including Paul Congemi, Jesse Nevel, Rick Kriseman, Rick Backer, and Anthony Cates. Nevel is the national chair of the Uhuru Solidarity Movement, an organization that recruits white people to join Africans in their struggle to “reclaim their land, labor, resources, and self-determination.” To put it simply, reparations.
Of course, the topic is a hot button issue for all Americans, who either agree with it or don’t. Of course, with Nevel being the chair of the movement, reparations came up during a debate between the mayoral candidates for St. Petersburg, where things took an interesting turn.
Sick and tired of the constant demands from Nevel and his supporters, Paul Congemi finally unleashed some blunt words. “Mr. Nevel, you and your people, you talk about reparations,” Congemi began, “The reparations that you talk about, Mr. Nevel, your people already got your reparations. Your reparations came in the form of a man named Barack Obama.”
As if that wasn’t enough to get people in the room all flustered, many of whom were supporters of Nevel, the 4-word bombshell that he would drop next left several people stunned. “My advice to you if you don’t like it here in America, planes leave every hour from from Tampa Airport, go back to Africa,” Congemi continued. “Go back to Africa. Go back to Africa. Go back!”

Of course, those in the room can be heard shouting, “Get out of here,” but several others all across America seem to agree with the man’s sentiments, but perhaps not the way he went about it. Quite a few people suggest that this is a tough truth that many need to hear.
There are a few things worth pointing out here. For one, those demanding reparations are all American citizens. They weren’t dragged here against their will, they were born here. Now, if that is a problem, well, then maybe Mr. Congemi’s advice is worth listening to for those people.
However, for those unwilling to give up the freedoms and customs we enjoy here, then maybe they need to take a step back and look at what they really have and what they’re really doing. I mean, what do you call demanding something that you didn’t work for and personally earn? Charity? Freeloading? These people may say that America’s wealth was built on the backs of their ancestors, but that’s not exactly true. To see that clearly, let’s take a look at a few facts:
- Of the 10 to 15 million Africans who were transplanted to the New World, no more than 6 percent—around 400,000—went to the Northern Hemisphere.
- At the peak of black slavery in the South, only 6 percent of Southern whites owned slaves. If you include the white people in the North, it means that only 1.4 percent of white Americans owned black slaves at the HEIGHT of slavery.
- One study concluded that 28 percent of free blacks owned slaves, which is a far higher percentage than that of free whites who owned slaves. [Source: Vice]
And here’s the real kicker:
- Although your textbooks are silent about it, most historians agree that two-thirds of ALL whites came to the colonies in some form of bondage. [Source: Vice]
In the end, reparations are just another word entitled brats are trying to use to get what isn’t theirs, what they didn’t work for, and what they don’t deserve. Even more so, seeing how blacks here in America earn 20 to 50 times higher than in any of the African countries from where their ancestors were displaced, well, it’s safe to say that they’re much better off.
Unfortunately for punks who think otherwise, they’re just going to have to get used to the fact that America is a capitalist country, not a socialist one where we take money from others and give it to those who didn’t earn it, no matter how much they cry about it. If you want something, then quit whining, get off your butt, and earn it like the rest of us.
