China Deals Fatal Blow To Islam, Takes The One Thing Devout Muslims Love The Most
While many countries around the world continue to appease certain groups at the expense of their native citizens, at least one nation is getting it right when it comes to the way radical ideologies should be handled. China has dealt a fatal blow to one minority religion, taking the one thing from its devout followers which they love the most.
Starting last week, Chinese officials began ordering the Muslim population, which is a minority in the country, to hand over their copies of the Quran, along with their prayer mats, or face what has been described as “severe punishment.”
According to sources in China’s north-western region of Xinjiang, officials have been warning entire neighborhoods and mosques that Muslim families must hand in religious items including the Quran and prayer mats. Anyone who is found to have kept these items in secrecy faces severe punishment if they are discovered.
“Officials at village, township and county level are confiscating all Qurans and the special mats used for namaaz [prayer],” a Kazakh source in Altay prefecture, near the border with Kazakhstan told RFA on Wednesday. “Pretty much every household has a Quran and prayer mats,” said the source.
Dilxat Raxit, a spokesman for the exile World Uyghur Congress group, said reports have emerged from Kashgar, Hotan, and other regions of similar practices starting last week. “We received a notification saying that every single ethnic Uyghur [minority Muslim] must hand in any Islam-related items from their own home, including Qurans, prayers and anything else bearing the symbols of religion,” Raxit said. “They have to be handed in voluntarily. If they aren’t handed in, and they are found, then there will be harsh punishments,” he added.
Raxit said announcements are being made by the police via the popular social media platform WeChat, which is akin to Facebook in the United States. “All Qurans and related items must be handed into the authorities, and there are notices to this effect being broadcast via WeChat,” said Raxit. “The announcements say that people must hand in any prayer mats of their own accord to the authorities, as well as any religious reading matter, including anything with the Islamic moon and star symbol on it. They are requiring people to hand in these items of their own accord.”
This is not China’s first effort to crack down on Islamic terror, either. Indeed, it seems the government is willing to go to any lengths necessary to root out extremism and squash it before citizens are killed.
According to local officials, Xinjiang authorities earlier this year, began removing all Qurans published more than five years ago due to extremist content.
The Qurans were taken as part of the ‘Three Illegals and One Item’ campaign that was underway in Xinjiang, which is against ‘illegal’ religious items owned by mostly Muslim Uyghurs.

China has made their position clear: Islam has no place in their society. It is no coincidence that we never hear reports of terrorist attacks coming out of China the way we do with European countries these days, where extremists seemingly wage jihad on a weekly basis. It doesn’t take a rocket scientist to make the connection, especially if you’ve read the Quran. Where Muslims are welcomed with opened arms, you can be sure that violence will follow. By the same token, in societies where Islam is shunned, citizens are safer. Take your pick.
Even though the proof is in the pudding, liberals continue to lambast President Donald Trump for putting America first in the fight against radical Islam. What will it take for these misguided leftists to see the light? Will our women need to be raped on a daily basis as we have seen in Sweden? Will our children need to be molested at public swimming pools by grown Muslim men posing as “refugees”? At what point will enough be enough? I almost don’t even want to know the answer to that question.
